After being asked by Grizzly Bear to remix them, Phoenix came up with this brilliant and alternative way to remix. Check it out here. The brilliance, you ask? Oh, I don’t know, that the user gets to actually do the remix! They’ve just given you two songs that make perfect sense and you can’t mess up. Love it!

“A long time ago Grizzly Bear asked us to remix one of their tracks, but we never found the boldness to mess with their beautiful songs. So the other day we figured, maybe if we combine great things together (Grizzly Bear, Eno, chance), it would create something good.”

Thanks Phoenix for allowing me to be a part of the process.

Click here to listen to a few of the leaked tracks off of the soundtrack to the latest Vampire Flick “New Moon”. The soundtrack is out on 10/20 on Atlantic. Bon Iver and St. Vincent really know how to capture that haunting feel, but you probably could have guessed that. The tracks by Thom Yorke and Grizzly Bear feat. Victoria Legrand aren’t too shabby either. Fantastic work matching the perfect artists with the movie genre. Can’t wait for the full album release (with hopefully some better quality).

Update: By popular demand, the soundtrack release has been moved up to this Friday, the 16th. Check out the full story here.
