As you may or may not have read on The Listen in January, the good people of Coachella are bringing their festival leanings out East for what is now known as All Points West Music and Arts Festival. The festival will take place August 8th, 9th, and 10th with RADIOHEAD headlining the 8th and 9th and Jack Johnson headlining the 10th. Man, they are really sticking behind their decision on Jack Johnson headlining, huh? Not sure if the East Coast audience is as keen on him as say SoCal.
The Line-up from APWFestival.com:
“The ALL POINTS WEST MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL LINE-UP (as of 2/21) is as follows: Radiohead, Jack Johnson, Underworld, Kings of Leon, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Cat Power, The Roots, The New Pornographers, Youssou N’Dour, Animal Collective, Andrew Bird, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Metric, CSS, Girl Talk, Chromeo, The Go! Team, Amadou & Mariam, The Black Angels, Sia, The Felice Brothers, K’Naan, Jason Isbell, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Alberta Cross, The Virgins, Black Kids, Mates of State, Duffy, Forro in the Dark, Nicole Atkins, Juana Molina, Little Brother, Rogue Wave, Neil Halstead and Your Vegas.”

There will be 3 stages on 80 acres just outside of Manhattan in Jersey sporting views of the Statue and other historical landmarks. In addition, they are going green for this festival and offering parking only for carpoolers along with many public transportation options.
Tickets go on sale on 2/29 at 12pm EST on ticketmaster. Day tickets are $89 each and a three-day pass will run you the small fortune of $258. However, some portion of the price will go to the park’s volunteer organization that maintains the open park space.
Alright, let’s do this.
